Ian Harris' 75 Gallon Stony Coral Reef

Ian Harris' 75 Gallon Stony Coral Reef
Full tank shot - December 2003

It's been a while but I thought I'd send you some recent reef shots of mine (I submitted a while ago but things have moved on since then). My reef is now about 2 years old and has been very successful. My main accomplishments have been in the growth and propagation of Acroporids and Montiporids, I have also had a Mycedium (the large pink one lying on the substrate) spawn in my tank!!! I recently undertook a complete rearchitecture of my reef. There were two main reasons for this, firstly, I'd run out of space to place specimens, especially my own frags. Secondly, I had a large (very large) Briareum colony (green star polyp) practically take over part of my tank. As this is a fast growing encruster and very, very stingy in nature, I had to do some thing drastic as it had already overpowered 2 Acroporas.
