Fish 'N' Chips is a free marine newsletter covering subjects of interest to reef and fish only saltwater tank hobbyists. Articles include animal descriptions and care, equipment reviews, do-it-yourself plans, marine news, recalls, tips, and more.

Fish 'N' Chips was "born" in November 1998 and since then has been a very unique newsletter - it was created entirely in html with images included and emailed directly to subscribers. With one exception, it was published faithfully each month until we purchased our first home and moved two states away in 2003. Since then, with a house, two kids, and my own web design business, it has become increasingly difficult to find the time to publish a monthly newsletter.

In an effort to save Fish 'N' Chips, a decision was made in 2007 to begin publishing sections of the newsletter at a time using a blog format. This change allows the tremendous workload of publishing Fish 'N' Chips to be divided up into smaller tasks that can be scheduled throughout the month. With a blog format, the exposure is greater as well and gives those subscribers who prefer to use blog and news feed readers an option to subscribe that way. Email subscriptions are still available and are my largest audience but now there is more than one mailing a month.
